Unit Overview/Summary - FOCUS: 

This unit focuses on operation and algebraic thinking and number and operations in base ten.  Learning in this unit will enable students to: 

• Understand and apply properties of operations and the relationship between addition and subtraction. 
• Work with addition and subtraction equations.
• Extend the counting sequence. 
• Use place value understanding and properties of operations to add and subtract.
