Unit Overview/Summary - FOCUS: 

Communities within the United States have diverse wants and needs. Determining these wants and needs differ from town to town, city to city, and state to state. Throughout history, individuals living in communities have advocated to create more opportunities for economic improvement. In this unit, second graders will learn how the decisions are made in their community that relates to its wants and needs.
