Unit Overview/Summary - FOCUS: 

This unit includes number and operations in base ten, geometry, and operations and algebraic thinking serve as a support in this unit. Learning in this unit will enable students to: 

• Understand place value;  
• Partition a rectangle into rows and columns; and 
• Work with equal groups of objects to gain foundations for multiplication.
