In this lesson students will list general classroom procedures, define Quality Control (QC) and explain its purpose in a laboratory setting. Then they will define FDA and describe its role in the biotechnology industry before identifying various types of laboratory documentation (SOP/OP, MSDS, Calibration Logs, etc.) and identifying different settings where documentation is used. Then they will recognize a variance from compliance and its implications and demonstrate proper documentation practices.
